  Helpful Hints to Looking Good!
Follow your feelings, remember no one knows you like you do.
If you feel good about how you look, you are almost certain to like your portraits.

Clothing Suggestions
Gentlemen -
For your formal poses we suggest a sweater in medium or darker tones or a long sleeve shirt with a well fitting collar.  Having trouble tying your tie?  We will do it for you.  Remember slacks and shoes for full length and 3/4 poses.  Consider t-shirts, jeans and casual clothing for additional outfits.

Ladies - Medium to darker tones in a dress, blouse or sweater with full length sleeves is the best for formal poses.  For additional outfits consider casual and contemporary outfits that you like and feel most comfortable in.  Be sure to bring all of you accessories and dress from head to toe for full length poses.

Can't make up you mind? - -Bring extra outfits and we will decide.  Don't forget your winter wardrobe - as some of your favorite outfits may be found there.  You may want to select one or more outfits  "just for the fun of it!"  Please remember scarves, sunglasses, hats, hobbies, uniforms, prom dresses, etc. to personalize your session.

                                   Hair
Avoid a new hairstyle - your most traditional look may be the best.  A week old haircut will photograph the best.  Considering a big Change?  Have half your session done one day and come back for the completion of your session with the new hairstyle.  Split sessions can be up to one week apart.  Gentlemen - A close shave before your session will help eliminate the 5 o'clock shadow.

Make-up
Your daytime party make-up is the best.  Although blemishes will be removed or softened in your finished portraits, you may want to use a cover-up stick to assure a more pleasing set of original previews.  Gentlemen - Cover-up on blemishes is
                                   good for guys too!

Watch the Sun
Please avoid heavy sun exposure a few days before your session.  Sunburns and peeling noses are impossible to retouch.

Glasses
Most Seniors who wear glasses will probably want to do so in their portraits.  We can correct most of the glare on indoor poses.  However, you may want to borrow a set of empty frames from your eye doctor if your glasses tend to create distortion on your face.  Remember, tinted glasses will photograph slightly darker than they appear in real life.

                                Braces
Braces are a big concern for may seniors.  Remember! Some serious, as well as some happy expressions are used.  Braces are a part of you - don't be overly concerned.  Some choose to have yearbook poses taken early and wait until later in the year for the balance of their poses.

Wheels

Car poses work best late in the afternoon.  If you are bringing your car to be photographed with please let us know.  Sometimes a separate appointment is necessary for this part of the session.

Outdoors

Outdoors are available only as weather permits.  If it is raining or is dark and cloudy you may need to return for this part of the session or you may want to go ahead and have all your poses taken indoors.  With our large variety of backgrounds and casual, contemporary, and magazine style poses you will have plenty of poses to choose from.  Remember - Outdoor poses are normally only available from the end of April until the end of October.  If this is an important part of your session please schedule your appointment during this time.
